Verticle

Verticle is a word game inspired by the popular Wordle, but with a twist: you guess the word vertically! It combines elements of crossword puzzles and word search games, creating a unique and engaging experience.

Here's the rundown:

  • Goal: Guess a five-letter word in six tries.
  • Gameplay:
    • You enter a five-letter guess on each try.
    • After each guess, the letters change color to indicate how close your guess was to the target word in each position.
      • Green: The letter is in the correct position.
      • Yellow: The letter is in the word but in a different position.
      • Black: The letter is not in the word.
  • Twist: Unlike Wordle, where letters can appear multiple times, each letter in Verticle can only appear once in the solution word.
  • Think Vertical: Imagine the solution word written vertically, with each letter in its row. The color clues apply to the letters in the corresponding columns of the imagined vertical word, not necessarily the order in which you guessed them.

This twist adds a layer of complexity to the game. You not only need to identify which letters are in the word but also reason about their potential positions.

How to play Verticle

Using Mouse and Keyboard.
