Classic Hangman is a popular word game that has entertained players for generations. The game involves one player thinking of a word or phrase and the other player (or players) trying to guess it by suggesting letters within a certain number of attempts.
Setup: One player (the "host") chooses a word or phrase and writes a series of blank spaces representing each letter in the word or phrase. For example, for the word "APPLE," the host would write "_ _ _ _ _".
Guessing: The other player (the "guesser") proposes letters one at a time. For each correct letter guessed, the host fills in the corresponding blanks with that letter. For each incorrect guess, a part of a stick figure (usually a head, body, arms, and legs) is drawn on a hangman scaffold.
Objective: The guesser's goal is to figure out the word or phrase before the stick figure is fully drawn. The host wins if the guesser fails to identify the word or phrase within the allotted number of incorrect guesses, typically depicted by the completion of the hangman drawing.
