Connections NYT is a word puzzle game developed and published by The New York Times. It is the second most played game that is published by Times, behind Wordle.
The goal of Connections is to divide a grid of sixteen words into four groups of four such that the words in each group belong to a specific category. For example, you might have to group the words "dog", "cat", "fish", and "parrot" together because they are all household pets.
To make a group, you must click and drag one word onto another word. If the two words belong to the same category, they will stick together. You can continue to add words to the group until you have four words total.
Once you have created a group, you can click on the checkmark icon to submit it. If the group is correct, it will be removed from the grid. If the group is incorrect, the words will turn red.
You have a total of six attempts to correctly group all of the words into four categories. If you run out of attempts before you finish, you lose the game.
